Almaty: Jeep Private Full Day Tour to Charyn Canyon and Bartogay

At 8:00 AM, our comfortable jeep or SUV will pick you up directly from your hotel in Almaty for an exciting journey to Charyn Canyon. The drive takes about 3 hours, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the scenic landscapes of southern Kazakhstan: endless steppes, rugged mountain ranges, and lush green valleys gradually unfolding before your eyes. We expect to arrive at the canyon around 10:30 AM.

We’ll spend approximately two hours exploring the famous “Valley of Castles” — a unique natural park with whimsical rock formations that look like something straight out of a fantasy novel. Here, you can stroll among the majestic cliffs and capture stunning photos to remember your visit. For those looking for an extra thrill, there’s an optional safari jeep ride along the canyon for 1,800 KZT, offering a completely new and breathtaking perspective on the canyon’s grandeur.

After exploring Charyn Canyon, we’ll drive about 30 minutes to Bartogay Reservoir. You’ll spend around an hour here, soaking in the mesmerizing scenery: mirror-like waters reflecting the endless sky, and rugged hills and cliffs creating an almost otherworldly atmosphere. This is the perfect spot for photos, where every shot looks like a work of art.

Once the tour is over, we’ll head back to Almaty — a drive of approximately 3.5 hours. We’ll arrive back at your hotel around 5:30–6:00 PM.
